Blue-green Algal BloomBlue Green Algal Bloom in Gippsland Lakes

The blue-green algal bloom which has affected the Gippsland Lakes has had a major impact on the regional tourism industry and restricted Gippslanders' enjoyment of this iconic waterway. I believe the State and Federal Governments should allocate more funding to local agencies for projects to rehabilitate bush-fire affected areas and improve the water quality of Gippsland rivers and streams.

What do you think?

Response from Ashley, Mulgrave
I live in Melbourne but visit the lakes often.
Response from Jeff, Heyfield
All governments have neglected their duty on public land.
Response from Russell, Paynesville
It's not just the water quality, there should be more money available for better jetties, boat ramps and mooring facilities.
Response from Ray, Lakes Entrance
Darren, you're on the right track.
